I just returned from a Vietnam trip myself. I only had five days in Hanoi and had to decide between Vu Ling, Ha Giang and Halong Bay. I chose the latter only because it had been raining prior to my arrival and the hotel told me that trekking Vu Ling and Ha Giang in the rain might be difficult. Either way, I couldn’t lose and it gave me something to want to return to.
Your journal and the stories from people I met during my trip who went there definitely show me that I need to return.
Excellent journal, Happy TLV Trekking Tours!
